چکیده
Under the umbrella diagnosis of non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndromes (NSTE-ACS), unstable angina and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction are frequent clinical presentations of atherosclerotic coronary disease and cause significant cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. In recent years there has been an overall trend toward a reduction in fatal events in acute coronary syndromes (ACS), although mortality remains high. This is in large part due to significant advances in pharmacologic and invasive management, with the introduction of new antithrombotic and antiplatelet drugs and the wider adoption of an early invasive strategy, in which coronary angiography is followed

Electrocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy is not associated with increased in-hospital adverse events in patients experiencing first non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction: A single center study
Background: There is conflicting data about prognostic implication of electrocardiographic (ECG) left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) in patients with first non- ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). We aimed to examine the association of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) on admission electrocardiogram with adverse outcomes in patients with NSTEMI. Methods: In the present study, ...
متن کاملPrehospital and interhospital delay in the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation and strategies to improve it from the perspective of the process owners: The importance of time
Introduction: Fibrinolytic drugs are one of the important strategies for the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction with ST segment elevation, especially in small centers. This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the distance with the global standard for fibrinolytic treatment and the viewpoints of experts in this regard. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional st...
متن کاملStudy of the Duration, Outcomes, and Related Factors of Reperfusion Therapy in Patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction
Background and Objective: One of the most important advancements regarding the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction is the administration of anti-coagulation medicines (e.g., streptokinase). However, it must be noticed that this medicine requires rapid and timely administration. Moreover, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is increasingly used as a method of revascularization...
متن کاملVitamin D deficiency predicts the ST elevation type of myocardial infarction in patients with acute coronary syndrome.
According to studies, a significant association exists between the low levels of vitamin D and cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction (MI). In a prospective, case control study, 88 patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) including ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and Non-STEMI were enrolled. The plasma level of 25-hydroxy vitamin D[25(OH)D] was obtained at the time ...
متن کاملThe Role of Pre-hospital and Hospital Emergency system in Ischemic Time Management of Acute Myocardial Infarction Patients: A Review
According to the latest guidelines, the best intervention to restore blood flow through occluded coronary arteries is angioplasty at a time less than 90 minutes. Delay in timely implementation of reperfusion is one of the key issues in the management of ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). In this review study, papers published from 1999-2019 were used to investigate Role of Pre-hospital...
